The Magnificent Barista Boys: A Brief History
And just like that, ten magnificent years have gone by. It’s hard to believe that a decade has passed since life and business partners, Stephan and Kim Brits decided to share their love of coffee and hospitality by starting a ‘magnificent’ new venture.
With several years experience in the hospitality and specialty coffee trade, award-winning barista Stephan and events wizard, Kim founded The Magnificent Barista Boys with one simple mission – to provide the Western Cape with premium coffee experiences.
Along the way, this dynamic duo subsequently met business advisor and investor Francois Laurence, who recognised their vision and unique offering. Francois’s tenacious entrepreneurial spirit combined with Stephan and Kim’s skills and passion created something truly phenomenal.
Since 2013, The Magnificent Barista Boys have produced their own coffee roasts, using a vintage theme to deliver exceptional event experiences. Combined with beautifully crafted handmade coffee carts and the skills of our dapper baristas, The Magnificent Barista Boys were ready to take the Western Cape by storm – and that they did.
Milestones and more:
From weddings and milestone celebrations, corporate meetings and sporting events, The Magnificent Barista Boys continued to grow from strength to strength. From selling their range of artisanal coffee products (which includes their wildly decadent Pure Indulgence range and artisanal fine teas) at Cape Town events to striking a deal to stock @home stores nationwide.
The team continued to perfect their event services and expand their product range while introducing a nuanced notion to corporate business parks – the Workspace Coffee station. Inspired by their roots, The Magnificent Barista Boys began to offer permanent barista solutions to business parks throughout the Western Cape. From Groote Schuur Hospital to Atlantic Studios – our team of Magnificent Barista Boys have become a permanent fixture, adding their friendly service and unique flair to the daily grind of employees and guests.
